In a global context marked by a slowdown in investment, Paris Region stands out as one of the few major European regions to record double-digit growth in both projects and jobs. With 438 international investment projects (+18%), 9,053 jobs created (+11%), and a record number of first-time implementations (+39%), the region strengthened its position in 2025 as Europe’s leading economic powerhouse.
This momentum is driven by broader attractiveness across 44 contributing countries and strong expansion in several strategic industries

PSL University is launching the Paris Schools
PSL University is launching the “Paris Schools,” an innovative model aimed at strengthening its global appeal and preparing students with the skills needed for the future. The schools will offer a full range of programs from bachelor’s to doctoral degrees, as well as continuing education. Primarily taught in English, the curricula will be organized around major interdisciplinary challenges. Five Paris Schools are planned: Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Climate and Biodiversity, Arts, and Humanities (Digital and AI).

New European Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence in Paris
VivaTech and the World Economic Forum have announced a partnership to launch a European Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence in Paris. It will join the global network of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), a WEF initiative, bringing together public and private stakeholders to harness technology for what is described as a “positive” transformation. It will also be supported by the WEF’s AI Governance Alliance.

Paris Region and Lisbon Strengthen Strategic Partnership
Valérie Pécresse, President of the Paris Region (Île-de-France), and Carlos Moedas, President of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, have signed an agreement extending their partnership launched in February 2020. The agreement strengthens cooperation in innovation, economic ties, mobility, education, research, tourism, and culture, while advancing joint climate, environmental, and biodiversity initiatives. The visit to Lisbon also promoted the economic and cultural attractiveness of the Paris Region

A Major new “House of AI” is set to open at the foot of Montmartre
Just steps from the Sacré-Cœur, the historic Grands Magasins Dufayel will host Cortex House, a new hub designed to bring together entrepreneurs, researchers, corporations, students, academic institutions, young creators, public stakeholders, and investors to connect and experiment around artificial intelligence. A partial launch is expected in the spring, with a full opening scheduled for September 2026. Cortex House will be located near the new headquarters of Mistral AI in the Marcadet Belvédère building.
